We understand that temperature is a critical factor in life science applications, requiring continual temperature monitoring of sensitive materials and environments. Inaccurate data and imprecise temperature measurement can result in excessive uncertainties in measurements, incorrect rejection of valid readings and acceptance of invalid readings.

If accuracy is not critical, the generic DS1921G Thermochron with its accuracy of ±1.0⁰C over the range of -40° to +85°C is an economical solution.

The memory of the DS1921G logger is limited to storing 2,048 reading. This is equivalent to collecting readings at 1 hour intervals during 85 days.

For more capacity, the generic DS1922L Thermochron stores 8,192 readings at a resolution of 0.5°C or 4,096 readings at a resolution of 0.0625°C. Another plus: It has an accuracy of ±0.5⁰C over the range of -40° to +85°C. 

What is resolution? The smallest change the logger can detect in temperature measurement.

The generic DS1923 Hygrochron is suitable for non-condensing environments and measures both temperature and humidity.

It has a temperature accuracy of ±0.5⁰C over the range of -40° to +85°C and humidity accuracy of ±5% RH over the range of 10 to 90% relative humidity.

 

Laboratory Use

When you need a higher level of precision and assurance of in-tolerance operation, consider our iButtons calibrated in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 by Thermodata Corporation's in-house calibration laboratory in the US. The laboratory is accredited by NVLAP, a signatory to ILAC.

Each calibrated logger includes its Calibration Certificate issued by our calibration laboratory, with traceability to NIST standards, accuracy (as found) and correction factors at 5 temperature points over the temperature range of the device.

The following calibrated iButtons are suitable for laboratory use:

  • The calibrated DS1922L has an improved accuracy of ±0.2⁰C over the range of -30°C to +70°C
  • The calibrated DS1922T has an improved accuracy of ±0.2⁰C in the range of 15°C to 70°C and ±0.5°C in the range of 70°C to 140°C.
  • The calibrated DS1923 has an improved temperature accuracy of ±0.2°C over the range of -20°C to 60°C and improved humidity accuracy of ±3.0% RH over the range of  20 to 90% relative humidity.
